Antique Pieces

These antique teak wood blacksmith’s bellows come from Indonesia, where they were used by blacksmiths to stoke the fire.

Their elegant cylindrical forms retain their hollow interiors and part of the original mechanism. Although the base that connected them is missing, each stands independently.

Their beautiful aged patina and traces of time give them exceptional character.

Two pieces steeped in history, with a sculptural presence of extraordinary beauty.

The cylinders are open at the bottom, yet stand upright on their own.

Both pieces are sold together.

Teak is a fine hardwood particularly valued for its strength, stability and exceptional durability. Its natural oils help preserve it, while the passage of time creates a beautiful patina.

These antique bellows were once part of traditional workshops in Indonesia, where they were used to stoke forge fires through a system of wooden pistons. Today, they retain their historical interest and an almost sculptural presence.

They look especially elegant beside a limewashed wall or in a Mediterranean-inspired corner.

For cleaning, we recommend a soft, dry cloth and a soft-bristled brush for the mechanisms. Avoid chemicals, abrasive products and excess water.
