Tall Sculpture in Teak Wood CALELLA

Tall Sculpture

Tall teak wood sculpture CALELLA stands on its own, with no metal base or additional support. Solid, substantial and reassuringly heavy, it has the presence to transform a space without any other decoration.

Its natural colour is protected with a clear matte varnish that preserves the wood without changing its tone. We select each piece for its singular character and the beauty of its original form. In person, its contours, texture and subtle nuances reveal a sculptural beauty that photographs can only begin to capture.

Teak, often considered the queen of precious woods, has a special beauty when it comes from reclaimed old timber. In the CALELLA sculpture, we respect the form that time has given the wood. Its hollows, ridges and natural marks are part of its identity, without seeking artificial symmetry.

Side lighting accentuates these recesses and creates a play of shadows that makes the sculpture an extraordinary focal point, both in an interior corner and on a covered terrace. Each piece calls for careful selection. Although teak tolerates moisture well, continued exposure to sun and weather can turn it grey; we recommend keeping it under cover. To clean it, use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid scouring pads and abrasive products that could damage its finish.
