Carved Teak Wall Decor CANEA
Wall Decor
This set of antique carved teak wall ornaments consists of two pieces originating from the traditional architecture of an old Indonesian house, now recovered and repurposed as decorative elements.
Both are crafted from solid teak wood and feature intricate hand-carved detailing. The upper sections are characterised by spiral forms, while the central bodies display geometric reliefs and carved figures. Their marks, dark tones, and natural irregularities preserve the beauty and character of the aged wood.
They are sold together as a decorative pair.
Teak is a tropical hardwood particularly valued for its strength, stability, and durability. Its rich natural oils allow it to remain well preserved for decades and develop a deeper, more elegant patina over time. In antique pieces, the wood also acquires a character that is difficult to replicate in contemporary creations.
These pieces preserve the charm of traditional Indonesian carving, with intricate craftsmanship in which every relief adds depth. The contrast between the smoother areas and the carved details highlights the handwork and the beauty of the aged wood. They can be displayed together or separately, creating distinctive compositions on walls, in entrance halls, or in ethnic-inspired and contemporary interiors.
To clean them, use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture, abrasive products, and harsh chemicals.
