Antique Window

Recovered from an old house in Indonesia, these antique teak windows preserve the beauty of wood enriched by time.

Their geometric carvings, with a tribal feel, create textured reliefs that give SUMATRA a striking decorative presence. Solid and beautifully preserved, the piece is protected with a matte varnish that respects its aged patina.

Displayed on a lime-plastered or stone wall, it brings history, texture and natural warmth to the space.

Teak is one of our favourite woods at TANAH for its strength, durability and the beauty with which it ages. Its natural oils help preserve the wood, while time adds depth to its grain and colour.

SUMATRA combines the marks of age with intricate hand-carved details. Although its exact date is unknown, it retains the distinctive character of a reclaimed architectural piece.

Teak is also suitable for outdoor use. To preserve this antique piece and its matte varnish, place it on a covered terrace or beneath a porch, sheltered from rain, direct sunlight and splashes.

Remove dust with a soft cloth, using a soft-bristled brush for the carvings. When needed, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and excess water.
